How to get an Indian Visa
If you are travelling to India for leisure or business, it is important to know the steps necessary to obtain an Indian visa. If travelling to India by land, the most common route is via the border town of Tachileik on the Thai side of the border. The application process usually takes around five minutes and costs US$25. You will need to provide your passport photo, a photocopy of your passport ID page, and a letter from your employer confirming that you will be absent for more than 30 days. A separate visa is required for each entry into India.
